Position Summary:We are seeking a reliable and experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of heavy equipment used in asphalt paving and construction operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, particularly with diesel engines and hydraulic systems, and be comfortable working independently in shop environments.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training in diesel mechanics or equipment maintenance preferred.
- 3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair, preferably in an asphalt or construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic software.
- Welding and fabrication skills a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in outdoor conditions, and occasionally respond to after-hours calls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on asphalt paving equipment such as pavers, rollers, milling machines, and tack distributors.
- Service and repair diesel-powered equipment including loaders, skid steers, dump trucks, and other heavy machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and manuals.
- Conduct inspections to identify potential equipment failures and proactively make necessary repairs.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance, parts used, and repairs completed.
- Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards.
- Operate equipment as needed for testing and verification of repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
- Assist with emergency repairs in the field as needed.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
