What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Sales Director position at QLM Search?
QLM Search is partnering a specialist, global Ingredients group that is looking to appoint a newly created Sales Director (potential VP level) in a new Flavor business unit. Reporting to the CEO and forming part of a small Flavor leadership team (gearing for significant growth), the role will be instrumental in delivering their 3-5 year commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
-Develop and execute effective Flavor Ingredient category management strategies to drive sales and profit growth for the business.
-Analyse market trends, customer insights and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to maximize sales potential.
-Build strong relationships with existing key customers and stakeholders to ensure the business “up sells” and driving customer satisfaction.
-Manage and motivate a very small team to achieve sales targets and KPIs whilst identifying hiring needs.
-Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal departments to ensure alignment and collaboration across the new business.
-Collaborate with the R&D, applications and marketing team to develop effective marketing campaigns and product launches.
Candidates MUST have proven experience as a Sales Director/VP Sales within the FLAVORS AND DAIRY ONLY – this experience in the sector is vital. You will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a small team. You need strong knowledge of category management strategies across Flavor Ingredients / Dairy Ingredients with a track record of driving growth through effective implementation. You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse market trends and customer insights to identify new business opportunities
