  • Review and edit official publications and correspondence, analyzing potential impact on related policies or guidance
  • Provide editorial advice and recommendations to staff drafting official documents and tasking responses
  • Manage a queue of documents through editorial review, prioritizing work to meet processing deadlines
  • Monitor networks and distribution channels for official announcements, editing them for accuracy and format, and coordinating release with the appropriate approval authority
  • Serve as editorial subject-matter expert supporting development of formal SOP or business-rules documents, including drafting portions and proofreading for compliance
  • Maintain a master policy or procedures document, coordinating updates and compliance reviews, and publishing once approved
  • Provide editorial and administrative support to senior staff, including participation in working groups on new processes and organizational initiatives
  • Review training materials for accuracy and formatting, deliver technical editing instruction during staff training events, and build supporting presentation materials for executive-writing training

Required Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including familiarity with standard correspondence and document-formatting conventions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with military/DoD correspondence standards and working knowledge of the supported organization's mission and structure
