Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles to deliver packages across designated routes.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks, ensuring proper handling of heavy or bulky items.
- Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to maximize efficiency and punctuality.
- Interact professionally with customers during deliveries, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving goods within the facility, and maintaining accurate delivery records.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, and route activities for accountability and reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with familiarity in route driving and heavy lifting.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
- Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting heavy packages, moving items within warehouses, and operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional communication abilities.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving, warehouse operations, and vehicle maintenance.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with attention to detail and time management skills.
- Prior experience with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous; certification as a
