Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
- Execute interior painting using conventional techniques including brush, roller.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to perform carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, fixture installation, framing, and restoration work
- Conduct surface preparation for construction painting including drywall repair, masonry finishing, stucco application, and concrete finishing
- Follow safety regulations diligently by wearing appropriate respiratory protection and adhering to site-specific safety protocols
- Assist with renovation projects by performing demolition, plastering, masonry work, or other related tasks as needed to support project completion
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting with a strong understanding of construction site procedures and safety standards
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and industrial spray equipment for various painting techniques
- Familiarity with color theory for effective visual color comparison and matching
- Experience with residential painting projects as well as commercial or industrial applications is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to surface preparation and paint quantities
- Additional skills such as carpentry (including trim carpentry), caulking, fixture installation, stucco application
- Ability to work independently on subcontracted projects while maintaining high-quality standards
