Machine Operator
Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable and skilled Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for safely operating and maintaining automated production machinery to ensure high-quality output and efficient production flow. The ideal candidate has prior experience in automated manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor automated production equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and make minor adjustments to maintain accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and correct basic mechanical, electrical, or sensor-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Record production data, including counts, cycle times, and equipment performance.
- Conduct routine cleaning, lubrication, and preventive maintenance on machines.
- Follow all company safety standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance and production teams regarding equipment performance.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and training to enhance machine efficiency and operator skills.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or trade school training preferred.
- 2 years of experience operating automated, or robotic machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret production instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
