In this role, you will partner closely with Product Owners and senior stakeholders to translate product vision into well-defined user stories, business requirements, and executable backlog items.You will play a critical role in analyzing business processes, defining system functionality, and supporting the delivery of innovative solutions across Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), IoT, Smart City, and data-driven platforms. This position offers a unique opportunity to influence customer experience, operational efficiency, and next-generation utility technologies.The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and comfortable working at the intersection of business, technology, and data in a fast-paced Agile environment.Key Responsibilities:Partner with Product Owners to align product vision with user stories and backlog executionElicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirementsServe as the primary source for business logic, requirements, and impact analysisCollaborate with SMEs, vendors, and cross-functional teams (Customer Ops, Electric, Gas)Break down features, prioritize requirements, and support roadmap planningSupport AMI systems including MDMS, EIP, data analytics, and troubleshootingDesign and maintain functional and technical documentationConfigure and support vendor and enterprise applicationsPerform unit testing and support integration testing and UATPrepare and support production releases and change implementationsProvide 24x7 on-call support and participate in disaster recovery drillsCommunicate complex technical concepts to business and non-technical usersContribute to innovation initiatives such as Smart City, IoT, sensors, mesh networks, and field devicesRequired Skills / Education:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)3 years of experience as a Product Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar roleStrong understanding of AMI systems, MDMS, EIP, and data analytics platformsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments with user stories and backlogsProven ability to gather requirements and translate them into functional designsExperience supporting vendor-based and enterprise applicationsKnowledge of system integration, testing methodologies, and production supportStrong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with diverse technical and business teamsPreferred Skills:Experience with IoT platforms, smart grid, or smart city technologiesUtility industry or large-scale infrastructure experienceFamiliarity with sensors, mesh networks, and field device technologiesAbout Seneca ResourcesAt Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm-we are a trusted career partner.
