Position: General Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Maumelle, ARShift: Mon - Fri 1st Shift Employment: Contract to Hire Pay Rate: Competitive, based on experiencePosition Description: We are seeking a skilled and reliable General Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced commercial and industrial facilities team in [Maumelle, AR]. In this role, you'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and complete repairs to ensure the safe and efficient operation of facility systems. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, communicates clearly, and thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. This position offers the opportunity to cross-train in multiple areas and contribute to a "flow-to-the-work" model-perfect for a hands-on professional who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Perform preventive maintenance (PMs), inspections, and repairs on commercial and industrial facility systems and equipment.Conduct regular shift rounds to assess equipment performance and identify potential issues.Troubleshoot and repair systems including: HVAC equipment, fire life safety, plumbing, and electrical systems.Transformers, motors, MCC panels, VFDs, dock equipment, and lighting systems.Rebuild or repair pumps, valves, and mechanical/electrical components as needed.Maintain documentation of maintenance activities using the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).Manage parts ordering, vendor coordination, and purchase order creation.Participate in project meetings and support sub-contractors as needed.Ensure full compliance with OSHA, lock-out/tag-out, and site safety regulations.Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers to ensure clear understanding of work scope and completion timelines.Required Skills & Education:High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical or trade school training preferred.4 years of experience in facility or industrial maintenance, with strong mechanical, electrical, and plumbing skills.Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts safely.Working knowledge of building automation systems and maintenance software.Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, email, and CMMS software).Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Valid driver's license and ability to obtain fork truck and JLG operator certifications.Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including weekends or on-call rotations as needed.About Seneca ResourcesAt Seneca Resources, we are more than a staffing and consulting firm - we are a trusted career partner.
