Position Title: Business System Analyst / TesterLocation: Tysons, VA / Pensacola, FL (Hybrid)Clearance Requirements: NonePosition Status: Contract to HirePay Rate: $33 - $40 per hourPosition Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst / Tester to support mission-critical initiatives within a dynamic, fast-paced technology environment. This role is ideal for professionals who excel at bridging business and technical teams, driving system improvements, and ensuring high-quality software delivery through rigorous analysis and testing.You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, evaluate complex requirements, lead testing efforts, and help deliver scalable solutions that advance business goals. This position offers strong visibility, impactful work, and the opportunity to contribute to large-scale enterprise programs.Required Skills/EducationKey ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, document, and translate business requirements into clear functional specifications.Lead system testing and UAT activities, including test planning, test case development, execution, and defect management.Perform root-cause analysis, assess business impacts, and provide actionable recommendations.Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure solution accuracy and quality.Manage multiple priorities in a hybrid environment while delivering high-quality results with minimal supervision.Develop insights from complex data sets, trends, and regulatory guidelines to support decision-making.Coordinate release activities and track work items using Azure DevOps or similar tools.Support change management activities related to system enhancements and process improvements.QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.Proven ability to quickly learn new systems, business processes, and technical environments.Strong experience executing system testing and UAT, including test case creation and defect resolution.Demonstrated success supporting large-scale, high-visibility technology or business initiatives.Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and database/reporting tools.Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for test management and release coordination.Ability to work effectively both independently and in collaborative team environments.About Seneca ResourcesAt Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
