What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chef de Cuisine position at QED Hospitality?
Job Description:
QED Hospitality is looking for an experienced, talented Chef de Cuisine to join our team at Marsh House in the Thompson Nashville. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a kitchen, developing menus, and working in a high-volume environment. Great communication skills and the ability to work with a team are a must. The Chef de Cuisine will work closely with the Executive Chef, including in developing and training the back of house team, managing the food, labor and other operational costs of the restaurant, and developing all menus.
Qualifications:
Required: Exceptional leadership skills. Minimum 5 years past experience as a sous chef. Strong expediting skills and ability to work all stations. Experience managing food and labor costs
Preferred: Past experience with hotel F&B. Experience with scheduling. Familiarity with Aloha, Google Drive
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Mobility and dexterity to move large, heavy objects up to 100 pounds. Manual dexterity to include using kitchen utensils and handling of food items. Ability to stand and walk for periods of at least 8 hours.
Must be able to tolerate industry standard chemicals used for cleaning and sanitizing and be able to withstand a hot and/or close environment. Able to work at a fast pace. Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues.
