Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety guidelines
- Serve food and beverages to guests efficiently while maintaining a friendly, professional demeanor
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and process sales transactions smoothly
- Upsell menu items including specialty drinks, wines, spirits, and desserts to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food handling and sanitation standards
- Assist with bussing tables, setting up dining areas, and managing guest relations to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, process payments accurately, and manage open/close cash procedures using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
Experience
- Prior food service experience in restaurants, cafes, or hospitality settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Experience with cocktail preparation, beverage service, wine knowledge, spirits experience, and drink service is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking between cooking and serving duties
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and creating positive dining experiences
- Experience working in fine dining or nightclub environments is beneficial but not required
