We're growing our internal team and adding a full-time IT Recruiter who will work side-by-side with our sales reps, recruiters, and software engineers out of our West Des Moines office.
About the Role
As an IT Recruiter at QCI, you'll own the full recruiting lifecycle for technical talent — sourcing, screening, and placing IT professionals (developers, engineers, QA, infrastructure, project management, and more) with our client companies. This is a relationship-driven, full-cycle recruiting role within an IT staffing model: you'll partner closely with our sales/account management team to understand client hiring needs and with candidates to understand their career goals, matching the right people to the right roles.
You'll join an established team of 10 sales reps and recruiters, working daily alongside QCI's own software engineering staff, giving you direct insight into the technical roles you're recruiting for.
What You'll Do
- Manage full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and submitting candidates for open IT/software roles with QCI's clients
- Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, internal ATS/database, referrals, networking, and proactive outreach
- Write and post compelling, accurate job descriptions for a variety of technical roles (software development, QA, infrastructure, data, project management, etc.)
- Conduct phone/video screens to assess technical fit, experience, compensation expectations, and availability
- Partner with sales reps/account managers to understand client requirements, role specs, and submission deadlines
- Present qualified candidates to clients with clear, well-organized summaries and coordinate interview scheduling
- Manage candidate pipelines and maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Negotiate pay rates/salary and close candidates on offers for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire placements
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of IT talent for current and anticipated client needs
- Stay current on IT/tech hiring trends, in-demand skill sets, and competitive market rates in the Des Moines area and beyond
- Provide a strong candidate experience throughout the hiring process, representing QCI's brand and reputation
- Collaborate with QCI's software engineering team to better understand technical roles, terminology, and skill requirements
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of recruiting experience preferred; IT/technical staffing or agency recruiting experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of (or eagerness to learn) IT roles, technologies, and terminology — software development, infrastructure, QA, data, etc.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and candidates simultaneously
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, metrics-driven, deadline-oriented environment
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and a "get it done" attitude
- Experience with an ATS and sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, etc.) preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to work full-time, in-office, Monday–Friday in West Des Moines, IA
