POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a key member of the Offering Development Team, the Energy Policy Compliance Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and compliance of renewable energy system data used for credit and incentive qualification. This role supports both EnFin and Qcells by delivering high-quality performance reports, compliance insights, and data validation that underpin funding eligibility and long-term system value.

The Analyst will collaborate closely with Quality Systems & Service (QSS), EnFin Operations, and Capital Markets teams to verify data integrity and ensure adherence to program and regulatory requirements. This position blends manual and automated data analysis to assess system performance, validate compliance, and optimize reporting efficiency.

Core responsibilities include compiling, validating, and analyzing datasets from Salesforce CRM and internal tracking systems, as well as preparing accurate datasets for third-party engineering teams conducting independent system reviews. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, with experience in data visualization and automation tools such as Tableau strongly preferred.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in San Francisco, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize Excel Toolkits and data analytics to do quality checks on QSS and 3rd party TPO data submission review processes for our dealers and partner installers
  • Create and manage dashboards and reports in Tableau to provide key stakeholders with actionable insights into system performance and compliance for fund reporting.
  • Perform quality and compliance checks on system data submitted by dealers and third-party owners (TPOs), using Excel toolkits and analytics platforms.
  • Review system tranches for tax credit eligibility, incentive qualification, and data integrity to ensure alignment with reporting standards.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to consolidate information from Salesforce, Excel-based trackers, and other internal systems into cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS S3).
  • Build and manage Tableau dashboards and reports to provide stakeholders with insights into system compliance, performance, and incentive eligibility.
  • Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and quality issues, ensuring datasets meet fund and incentive program requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data needs and deliver accurate, timely metrics for fund acceptance and incentive reporting.
  • Automate data validation and cleansing processes to streamline compliance workflows and improve reporting efficiency.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or a related technical field, with 3-5 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or in a similar role
  • Demonstrated expertise in Excel-based data analysis, modeling, and business intelligence reporting
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, with experience using cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake or AWS S3
  • Strong working knowledge of business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau) for developing dashboards and reports
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis and process automation
  • Skilled in editing and building product combination codes and algorithms to support rapid, accurate fund analysis of system asset data
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
