SUMMARY
The Utility Maintenance Supervisoris responsible for overseeing the preventive and corrective maintenance of critical air handling and exhaust systems across the manufacturing facility. This includes HVAC, CDA, Water, Gas/Chem, and other Critical Facility and Utility systems essential for cleanroom environments and production support.
This position leads a team of maintenance technicians, ensures compliance with air quality and pressure standards, coordinates external vendor activities, and drives reliability improvements. The role requires strong technical know-how, system diagnostic capabilities, and a proactive leadership mindset focused on uptime and performance.

Core Responsibilities
The Main tasks of the Utilities Maintenance Supervisorshould include but not limited to the following:
- Supervision and Team Management:
- Supervise maintenance of Utility and Facility systems including air handling units, dampers, piping, control valves, etc.
- Oversee maintenance of house vacuum systems including vacuum pumps, piping, and dust collectors.
- Manage scrubber and exhaust system maintenance including duct cleaning, pressure checks, and fan/piping service.
- Preventive&CorrectiveMaintenance:
- Implement manufacturer-recommended PM schedules for each subsystem.
- Ensure timely HEPA and pre-filter replacements per cleanroom standards.
- Address abnormal equipment behavior, system alarms, or performance drops through effective troubleshooting.
- TeamLeadership & Daily Operations:
- Assign tasks and lead daily work activities for the in-house maintenance team.
- Conduct shift handovers, performance feedback, and on-site skill development.
- Supervise cleaning schedules, filter tracking, and documentation of all work orders.
- Vendor Management:
- Oversee third-party contractor activities for specialized cleaning or repair.
- Validate service completion and documentation; report major issues to Engineering.
- Safety&Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence tosafety protocols, working at height, confined space rules, and proper lockout/tagout procedures.
- Support compliance, especially in relation to environmental and safety standards.
- Coordination&Communication:
- Submit weekly/monthly maintenance reports and participate in performance review meetings.
- Recommend system improvements and upgrades to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- EducationalBackground:
- Preferred: Associate Degree (2-year college degree) in Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, etc.
- Minimum: High school diploma or GED with relevant technical training/certification
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the specific system field
- At least 1–2 years in a lead or supervisory capacity
- TechnicalKnowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of Utility and Facility system components.
- Familiarity withcleaning standards,control systems, and exhaust emission management.
- Able to interpretschematics,layouts, and system manuals.
- RelevantCertificate(Preferred):
- EPA HVAC Certification (Type II or Universal)
- OSHA 10/30, LOTO, Confined Space Entry
- Competencies:
