Summary
The Sr. Safety Training Program Manager is tasked with the creation, maintenance, updating, filing, and implementation of all essential training programs for the overall Health and Safety program, with an emphasis on electrical safety training. This position reports to the Sr. Safety Compliance Manager, or another management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position is located in Houston, TX and working hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm local time. Overtime and weekend working hours may be required as needed. This position is expected to travel up to 60%.

Essential Job Function & Responsibilities
- Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
- Development and implementation of safety training programs, including curriculums, syllabus, evaluation criteria, training satisfaction surveys and other training initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) Program, including training pathways, competency validation, and periodic requalification in accordance with NFPA 70E.
- Lead development and delivery of electrical safety programs aligned with NFPA 70E and OSHA requirements, including arc flash, shock protection, and energized work practices.
- Partner with engineering and field teams to integrate electrical hazard analysis into training (e.g., arc flash labels, one-lines, switching procedures).
- Develop and maintain LOTO and energized electrical work training specific to PV and BESS systems.
- Ensure training content aligns with company H&S policies.
- Provide feedback to improve company procedures to ensure alignment with applicable legislation, industry standards, and client requirements.
- Conduct field observations, coaching, and hands-on training at project sites to validate training effectiveness and reinforce safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and competency records for all personnel.
- Participate in incidents, near misses, and audit findings to update training materials and address learning gaps.
- Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, observations, and feedback, and implement continuous improvements.
- Stay up to date with PV industry best practice, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies affecting health and safety.
- Support audits and inspections by providing evidence of training compliance and workforce competence.
- Manage the training calendar and ensure timely completion of all required training.
- Provide comprehensive support for safety training, including coordination of training sessions, management of training materials, and tracking of training completion.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, trends, and best practices in safety training.
- Execute additional responsibilities as delegated by the Director of Health and Safety.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in training and field compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 70E and OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910/1926).
- NFPA 70E Trainer or Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) (preferred)
- OSHA Outreach Trainer (preferred)
- Certified Instructional Trainer CIT (preferred)
- Experience delivering electrical safety training in construction, utility-scale solar, or industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of training and compliance process and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and other software applications.
- Proficiency in training databases such as Avetta, ISNetworld, Heatspring, etc.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within project teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of project management principles and practices is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
