Warehouse & Counter Sales Associate (part-time)

QC Supply is hiring a Part-Time Warehouse & Counter Sales Associate in Washington, Iowa. This dynamic role blends customer service, parts sales, and warehouse duties. You'll assist walk-in customers, manage showroom inventory, and fulfill orders. This first-shift position is scheduled Monday through Friday for 30 hours per week, with flexible hours such as 8am-2pm, 9am-3pm, or 10am-4pm.

As a Warehouse & Counter Sales Associate at QC Supply, you will manage inventory and help customers at the Washington, Iowa branch. You will handle stock, sell farm parts, and talk with buyers in the store and on the phone.

Job Duties

• Inventory Work: Receive, check, and stock new items.
• Order Prep: Pack and get orders ready to ship out safely.
• Counter Sales: Help walk-in buyers and sell equipment parts.
• Phone Help: Answer calls and share product deals.
• Cleaning: Keep the work areas neat and safe.

What You Need

• Lifting: Lift up to 50 pounds by yourself and stand all day.
• Tech Skills: Use basic computers and barcode scanners.
• People Skills: Talk well and help multiple people at once.
• Positivity: Maintain an enthusiastic attitude, focusing on good outcomes.
• School & ID: Have a high school diploma (or GED) and a driver's license.
• Forklift Certification: Required [will train for this].

Role & Responsibilities

Warehouse & Inventory

• Receiving: Check incoming boxes and type them into the computer system.
• Put-Away: Put items in their correct spots on shelves or bins.
• Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and get orders ready to be sent out.
• Inventory Control: Count stock often to make sure numbers match and items do not run out.
• Upkeep: Keep all work areas clean and safe.

Counter Sales & Service

• In-Store Assistance: Greet customers and help them find products.
• Phone Support: Take phone orders and answer questions.
• Product Education: Show how to use items and share sales.
• Retail Displays: Restock shelves and keep the front store neat.

Administration & Operations

• Tech Operations: Use the cash register, computer, and office tools.
• Team Collaboration: Help your coworkers and do other tasks when needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or GED
• 1 years of warehouse work
• Basic inventory knowledge.

Skills

• Valid driver's license
• Current forklift license (sit-down and stand-up) [will train for this]
• Basic computer and scanner skills

Personal Skills

• Good customer service
• Ability to multitask
• Strong teamwork and communication
• Honest and safety-focused

Physical Needs

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted

Availability

• Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week
• Days: Monday through Friday
• Shift: First shift, with schedule flexibility between 8am-4pm
