Duties

• Operate cash registers efficiently and accurately, handling transactions with professionalism and speed
• Stock shelves and displays with fresh produce and meat products, ensuring items are well-organized and appealing
• Cut, prepare, and package fresh meats following safety standards and quality guidelines
• Manage inventory levels using RF scanners and maintain accurate stock counts through inventory control procedures
• Load and unload deliveries using pallet jacks or forklifts, ensuring proper storage and placement of products
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including produce displays, meat cutting stations, and storage zones
• Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about produce and meat items, and provide excellent customer service
• Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments and organizing stock for easy access
• Engage in merchandising activities to promote products effectively and enhance store presentation

Skills

• Strong organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain tidy displays
• Excellent communication skills to assist customers confidently in multiple languages if applicable
• Experience with inventory management systems and RF scanners for accurate stock tracking
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or bulky products
• Knowledge of produce handling, packaging techniques, and meat cutting procedures
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (certification preferred)
• Retail math skills for accurate pricing, weighing, and transaction processing
• Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude to create positive shopping experiences
• Multilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards and product quality standards
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate stocking schedules with store operations
