Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and responding to inquiries about menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, beverage preparation stations, and seating areas, adhering to food safety protocols.
- Manage cash handling procedures, processing cash transactions with precision while balancing registers at shift end.
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness.
- Support team members during busy periods by managing multiple tasks such as serving drinks, taking orders, and ensuring quick turnaround times.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy shifts.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the café area, and perform cleaning duties as needed.
