Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair.
• Handle food preparation and food handling tasks in accordance with food safety standards.
• Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions.
• Manage customer orders with enthusiasm, ensuring quick service while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment.
• Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for both customers and staff.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and communicating supply needs promptly.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by engaging with guests warmly, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Practice effective time management to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining attention to detail.
• Support team members during peak hours by multitasking efficiently across serving, cashiering, and cleaning duties.

Experience

• Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and managing transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Experience in serving or retail environments that require multitasking and quick thinking.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
