Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance partnership governance structures to maximize delivery and revenue performance.
- Define strategic initiatives across regions and customer segments to optimize revenue and partnership value.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine long-term commercial strategies, including pricing and revenue planning.
- Ensure proper execution of all agreed alliance action items related to commercial, performance, and customer metrics.
- Design and track performance measurement frameworks for the Strategic Alliance with American Airlines.
- Coordinate Steering Committee (SC), Management Committee (MC), and workstream meetings, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders.
- Lead regular communication between Qatar Airways and American Airlines, fostering a unified, collaborative working relationship.
- Develop and deliver business plans that capitalize on alliance opportunities across commercial, technical, procurement, and cargo functions.
- Engage with Regulatory bodies (DOT, DOJ, FAA, and authorities in relevant jurisdictions) to support approvals and ongoing compliance.
- Lead regulatory filings and work with external legal teams to ensure continuous Anti-Trust Immunity (ATI) in all countries defined under the partnership.
- Deliver business performance outcomes aligned with key KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all partnership areas.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.
JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS:
- Business planning and associated processes in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Deep understanding of airline partnership business and airline profitability metrics.
- Knowledge of airline industry revenue planning processes, including capacity/network planning and revenue forecasting.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and spoken presentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Adaptable and strategic, systems-thinking skills.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills, including the ability to achieve results through individuals outside direct control.
