Duties
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, hand tools, power tools, and landscape machinery such as excavators for various maintenance tasks
- Mow lawns, edge borders, prune trees, trim shrubs, and perform tree care to ensure healthy growth and a tidy appearance
- Maintain gardens by planting, watering, fertilizing, and performing horticultural tasks to promote lush greenery
- Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering schedules for landscapes
- Conduct landscape maintenance including hardscape work such as installing pathways or retaining walls
- Perform snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible
- Assist with general construction and landscaping projects, including soil preparation and planting beds
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge related to lawn care equipment and landscape machinery
- Experience in lawn care, gardening, landscape maintenance or related fields preferred
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as excavators or skid steers
- Knowledge of horticulture principles, tree trimming techniques, and irrigation systems
- Ability to operate snow plows and perform seasonal maintenance tasks effectively
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Prior experience in construction or hardscape installation is a plus
