What are the responsibilities and job description for the Salon Receptionist position at Pyure Salon?
As a Guest Relations member you are the face of Pyure. You are the first person the guest sees when they first come into the salon and the last person they see upon checking out. This means you should be very welcoming, approachable and your appearance should represent what we do. Most importantly, you are expected to be in control at all times. For example, you should be like an“(H)AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER.” They don’t just send the planes out and that’s it…call it a day. You must constantly know where the guest is at all times and make sure the technicians are running on schedule.
As Guest Relations you have the ability to affect the overall profitability of the salon. The front desk can increase sales by not only properly booking appointments, but by adding additional services, suggesting and selling retail, training the guest to pre book future appointments, encouraging guests to become a Pyure Rewards Members and making sure that the guest’s experience has met and exceeded their expectations. Guest Relations makes sure that the salon is organized and running smoothly. It is important to be in constant communication with the manager to handle situations that may arise and to overcome challenges. This job involves an incredible amount of patience, excellent customer service skills and problem solving skills.
Due to the nature of Hair and Beauty business, we are open 7 days a week (8.30am-8.00pm) and all major holidays.
Key Principal duties/responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in all guests coming into Pyure Salon in a courteous and friendly manner
- Answer the salon phone cordially
- Answer all questions regarding salon services, policies and procedures, and any questions regarding the salon appropriately
- Schedule and confirm appointments appropriately and include all required information
- Audit the book to ensure most efficient booking
- Enter and ring out transactions in Aura appropriately
- Assist with retail sales
- Maintain the cleanliness of the salon front desk area and experience center
Occasional duties or projects:
- Assist with inventory of products
- Assist with training of new Salon Desk/Coordinator staff as needed
- Attend staff and training meetings
