Job Description
The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Shift{{:}} Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1am
$$ This position is eligible for a $1,500 sign on bonus. $750 at 90 days and remainder paid out at completion of 180 days. $$
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Education/Experience
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 25 pounds frequently, and perform fine motor tasks. Must have close vision, color vision, and depth perception. PPE required.
Working Environment
Manufacturing environment with exposure to ambient and controlled temperatures, light to moderate airborne graphite dust, and moderate background noise.

Job Description
The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Adhere to production schedules by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, material specifications, and machining parameters, and interpret complex geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines by entering instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches using G-code and/or conversational programming, with minimal assistance.
- Load raw material safely and verify setup by measuring positions and first-run parts to ensure compliance with international standards.
- Monitor part specifications during drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, and facing operations. Identify malfunctions, apply troubleshooting techniques, and make corrective adjustments to programs or replace worn tools as needed.
Education/Experience
- Associate degree in Machining Technology or related field plus three (3) years of CNC machining experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with FANUC controls, Haas mill/lathe machining, and CMM (coordinate-measuring machine) preferred.
- Technical Skills. Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code and conversational), blueprint interpretation, and GD&T. Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to use dimensional measuring tools, perform geometric calculations, and troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
- Computer Skills. Proficient with CNC machining software, arc/radius programming, and tool compensation techniques.
- Communication. Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing.
