We are looking for a highly motivated, customer focused Restaurant Server to join our team! Servers are the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. Food server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus and serving food and beverages. This individual will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude.

Your role:
- Prepare the restaurant pre-shift for the service ahead
- Greet guests as they arrive or move about the restaurant
- Guide guests on their culinary journey through descriptive selling of the menu
- Be accurate in your order taking, confirming all special requests
- Be the master of the menu, understanding the details to enhance the conversation
- Work collaboratively with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Assist guests who have concerns to guide them to a resolution that leaves them happy
- Finalize the experience through timely and accurate bill presentation
To provide aggressive, hospitable service to our guests in the area in accordance with all The Stonewall Resort’s food service standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
- Assist in having the patio dining area ready for service five minutes prior to the start of a meal period.
- Clear tables after guests’ departure.
- Prepare and set tables in preparation for guests.
- Always practice the service communication skills-ensuring Four Diamond Service.
- Full knowledge of telephone answering, recording reservations, and providing guests with general information (direction, menu questions, hours of operation, etc).
- To be able to operate and understand the Micros System.
- Responsible for accuracy of all guest checks in the way of payment, billing and CMP counts
- Carryout the policies and procedures of Stonewall Resort and Benchmark Hospitality while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork atmosphere as per standards of service.
- Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform all duties in a professional manner and in accordance with company policies.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule due to business levels and industry demand.
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain uniform & grooming standards as outlined in employee handbook & departmental training.
- Ensure knowledge and practice of Stonewall and state liquor guidelines and laws.
- Job knowledge of Hostess, Dining Room Assistant, and In-Room Dining functions.
- To be knowledgeable of all services with the hotel.
- Ensure that the highest degree of sanitation in regard to food handling is adhered to at all times.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Provide assistance in other job classifications as determined necessary by immediate supervisor.
