Job Title: Operations Manager
Salary: $132,000-$143,000 bonus
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM (flexible as needed)
Reports To: General Manager

About the Role

We're seeking an Operations Manager to lead HVAC installation, service, and maintenance projects across residential and commercial departments. You'll ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably while coaching and developing your field team.

This role requires collaboration with scheduling, inventory, and sales teams, oversight of labor budgets, and alignment with operational KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations for installation, service, and maintenance teams

• Implement SOPs for efficiency, safety, and quality

• Coordinate work schedules, project timelines, and material staging

• Hire, train, and evaluate technicians and support staff

• Conduct jobsite visits and quality inspections

• Resolve escalated technical and customer issues

• Oversee budgeting, job costing, and procurement approvals

• Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and building codes

• Lead training programs and career development initiatives

• Track and report performance metrics using ServiceTitan or similar tools

Qualifications

Required:

• 5 years HVAC operations, service, or installation leadership

• Experience with residential and commercial project cycles

• Strong team leadership and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and field management software

Preferred:

• 8 years in HVAC or skilled trades management

• Multi-location or regional operations experience

• Job costing and labor budgeting knowledge

• OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certified

• Experience with permitting, inspections, and builder compliance

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• ≥ 90% technician billable utilization

• ≥ 95% jobs completed on schedule

• Maintain gross margins: Retail ≥ 40%, Service ≥ 55%, New Construction ≥ 36%

• < 5% warranty callbacks

• ≥ 80% technician retention
