Help Create a Clean, Safe, and Welcoming Environment

Freedom Detox, part of Pyramid Healthcare, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team in Gastonia, NC. In this role, you'll play an essential part in supporting the recovery journey of our clients by maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable treatment environment for clients, staff, and visitors.

What You'll Do

• Clean and sanitize client rooms, bathrooms, nursing units, offices, common areas, lounges, hallways, and waiting areas.
• Prepare and clean client rooms following discharge, including changing linens and ensuring rooms are ready for new admissions.
• Stock bathrooms and common areas with clean linens, toiletries, and other necessary supplies.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste according to facility procedures.
• Complete daily housekeeping assignments using department checklists.
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment while following company policies.
• Follow all infection prevention and control procedures, including standard precautions and proper hand hygiene.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Perform other housekeeping-related duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Preferred:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous housekeeping, environmental services, hospitality, or healthcare cleaning experience
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain if required)

Physical Requirements

• Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs
• Frequent use of hands and arms while cleaning and handling supplies
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work safely in a healthcare environment with potential exposure to infectious diseases and behavioral health clients
