Clinical Director – Outpatient Mental Health & Co-Occurring Programs
Location: Center City, Philadelphia, PA
Company: High Focus Centers (Pyramid Healthcare)
Compensation: $90,000 – $95,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday with two evening shifts per week (until approximately 8:15 PM)

High Focus Centers, a trusted provider of outpatient behavioral healthcare and a proud member of the Pyramid Healthcare family, is seeking a Clinical Director to lead our adult mental health and co-occurring programs in Center City Philadelphia.
This is a key leadership role responsible for the clinical, operational, and strategic oversight of outpatient and partial hospitalization (PHP) services. You'll guide a dedicated team of clinicians while driving program growth, ensuring quality care, and maintaining a strong, client-centered culture.
Position Overview
The Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing all aspects of clinical programming, staff supervision, and day-to-day operations of the site. This individual will play a critical role in shaping program development, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
The ideal candidate is a licensed clinician with strong leadership experience, a passion for developing teams, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight of outpatient and PHP programs serving adults with mental health and co-occurring disorders
- Supervise, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, fostering professional growth and accountability
- Conduct clinical assessments, assign DSM-5-TR diagnoses, and guide treatment planning and implementation
- Maintain a manageable caseload, as needed, to support program flow and continuity of care
- Facilitate interdisciplinary team meetings, case reviews, and regular staff supervision (individual and group)
- Drive program development and strategic growth initiatives to meet community needs
- Monitor key performance indicators including access to care, engagement, clinical outcomes, and staff satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, regulatory, and accreditation standards (e.g., CARF)
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, including chart audits and documentation reviews
- Oversee site operations in collaboration with senior leadership, including workflow optimization and service delivery
- Support budget awareness and resource management to align with organizational goals
- Respond to client crises and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support program success
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and leadership to clinical and support staff
- Foster a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Support hiring, training, and staff development initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field
- Active Pennsylvania licensure (LPC, LCSW, or LMFT required)
- Minimum 5 years of post-licensure experience in behavioral health
- Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a clinical setting
- Strong knowledge of co-occurring disorders and outpatient/PHP levels of care
- Experience with regulatory standards and accreditation processes (e.g., CARF)
- Demonstrated ability to balance clinical leadership with operational responsibilities
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and high-quality client care
