- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans in accordance with health and safety standards
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of all cleaned items
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen floors, walls, drains, trash areas, and workspaces
- Remove trash and recycling from kitchen and service areas in a timely and sanitary manner
- Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries, including rotating stock and maintaining organization
- Support culinary team with basic prep tasks as assigned (e.g., washing produce, stocking stations)
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, chemicals, and dishwashing materials
- Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and operating equipment
- Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including deep cleaning tasks
- Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership and team members
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall kitchen and restaurant operation.
Who You Are
- Previous steward, dishwashing, or kitchen experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
