About Our Property

The award-winning, 480-acre Saddlebrook Resort has made a name for itself as a premier meeting and vacation destination, as well as one of the nation’s preeminent athletic training facilities. Purposely planned as a car-free Walking Village, the resort setting allows guests to easily walk everywhere, surrounded by lagoons and cypress trees. Position Summary

What you will have an opportunity to do:

The Security Officer – Welcome Center is responsible for providing a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all guests, residents, and associates entering Saddlebrook Resort. This position serves as the first point of contact at the property’s Welcome Center, ensuring all visitors are properly greeted, screened, and directed while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial point of contact for all guests, residents, and vendors arriving at the resort.
• Verify credentials and issue visitor or vehicle passes as appropriate.
• Monitor and control vehicular and pedestrian access through the Welcome Center in accordance with established security protocols.
• Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while providing directions, assistance, and resort information.
• Conduct routine patrols of assigned zones, including resort grounds and residential areas, to ensure property safety and compliance with rules and regulations.
• Document and report all incidents, accidents, or suspicious activity promptly and accurately.
• Complete detailed written reports and attach photos when necessary to support investigations.
• Assist with emergency response efforts, including fire alarms, medical calls, or security alerts.
• Enforce resort policies, procedures, and code of conduct in a respectful and consistent manner.
• Communicate effectively via radio and in person with other officers, departments, and management.
• Support traffic control, parking, and special event operations as directed.
• Represent Saddlebrook Resort professionally and uphold its Game Changer culture of excellence and guest service.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Knowledge of security and safety practices, including incident response and documentation.
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Proficiency with basic computer functions, report writing, and radio communication.
• Must maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment.
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of security, law enforcement, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Valid Florida Class D Security License required (or ability to obtain).
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Work is primarily performed indoors at the Welcome Center, with peri odic outdoor patrols as assigned.

The Security Officer will work in a fast-paced resort environment, interacting with guests, residents, and associates. The position requires consistent professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to Saddlebrook Resort’s standards of excellence and safety
