Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in the designated child care area
- Create and maintain a positive, nurturing, and fun atmosphere for children of varying ages
- Organize and lead age-appropriate activities including games, crafts, and storytelling
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child’s time at the club
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the child care area in accordance with health and safety standards
- Follow all policies and procedures of the Club regarding child care and safety
- Handle emergencies calmly and appropriately according to established procedures
- Monitor check-in/check-out procedures to ensure child security
Qualifications
- Previous experience in child care, early childhood education, or related field preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children
- Ability to lift children and carry up to 40 lbs
- Ability to sit, stand, and interact with children on the floor for extended periods
- Must be able to react quickly to ensure child safety
