Pay Range: $65-$68/hour.  Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
 
Key Responsibilities:

• This role involves overseeing database systems, optimizing performance, managing upgrades, and supporting application teams to implement new technologies that align with business goals.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key Skills; Manage and maintain Client DB2 databases on the z/OS mainframe platform.
• Perform data manipulation operations like loading, unloading, and reorganizing data using DB2 utilities.
• Implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data availability and disaster recovery.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience with zDb2, IMS DB/DC, and/or ADABAS.
• Proficiency with replication software such as IIDR – Client Infosphere Data Replication Suite.
• Strong understanding of zConnect Enterprise Edition (zCEE) API framework.
• Expertise in Client DB2 database administration on z/OS mainframe platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL, DB2 partitioning, indexing, data sharing, and performance tuning techniques.
• Experience with mainframe operating system concepts and Job Control Language (JCL).
• Familiarity with data security best practices and compliance regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database-related issues.
• Strong experience in managing database backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
• Knowledge of Client DB2, IMS DB/DC, and ADABAS database products.
• Familiarity with service level management, change management, and incident resolution.
• Experience working with external vendors and managing software upgrades.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant certifications in DB2 or related database technologies are a plus.
