Pay Range: $18/hr - $19/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Additional Hours: Weekends and evenings may be required
- The receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers at the Visitor Center and may be assigned to work at the Visitors Center as needed.
- This role supports daily operations, assists with public engagement, and contributes to recreational programming and administrative tasks.
- Answer and route telephone calls and emails; maintain a call log using Excel
- Greet and assist visitors with inquiries and directions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of lobby, reception, and display areas
- Perform typing and data entry tasks
- Assist with filing and copying of documents (electronic and hardcopy)
- Create promotional materials such as ads, flyers, PowerPoint presentations, yard signs, and logbooks
- Support the Licensing and Recreation Department with contests and public events
- Coordinate with staff on event logistics and visitor services
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least one (1) year of experience in a receptionist or customer service role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in typing and data entry
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, ShareFile)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and/or experience that meets the minimum qualifications
