Principal Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Pay Range: $55 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Must have skills: - Oracle, Pl/SL, Unix Shell Scripting, ETL and Python
• 8 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer with highly sensitive, large, data sets
• Strong RDBMS skills – SQL querying, writing stored procedures, triggers, functions, views, user privileges, object privileges, etc.
• Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and design skills with a desire to continually learn and grow in a team-based environment
• Good experience with performance tuning of stored procedures and queries.
• Knows ETL processes to load large volumes of data at speed, e.g. SQL Loader, etc.
• Has experience in Linux environment and knows basic Unix commands.
• Experience working with team in Agile methodology
• Experience with database modelling
• Knowledge of Core Java, Python, scheduling tool like Control-M is nice to have.
• AWS Cloud experience is a plus
• Strong data analysis skills, design, and coding experience in Financial Industry preferably in Client Markets/ Securities Finance.
• 5 years working in the financial industry is a plus.
• Understand glossaries and terminologies in the financial industry
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams.
• Motivated and able to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Good communication skills to both technology folks and business partners.
• Quick learner, adaptable, has the right attitude to work across teams to find and deploy
• 10 TB of data (massive data sets – plus, if anything wrong happens here, it’s a big deal. Qualified candidates must be used to dealing with large volumes of sensitive, critical data sets with low tolerance for error.)
• Data is coming from internal systems as an upstream from Oracle. We also have external data coming.
• Data moving all over the place in a lot of different directions.
• 10 years’ experience, including hands-on experience with:Performance tuning existing or new
• Extensive Oracle SQL & PL/SQL development experience
• Unix shell scripting
• Some reporting tool experience
• For ETL, we use SQL loader.
• Python would be very good to have
