Pay Range: $24 - $26/hour. Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls from members and parents in a high-volume call center environment (30–50 calls daily)
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments according to departmental guidelines
- Make outbound calls regarding appointments, referrals, waitlists, and follow-up care
- Create, route, and manage patient messages through EPIC/HealthConnect
- Assist with referral management and appointment waitlists
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinic staff
- Accurately document patient interactions within electronic medical records
- Provide outstanding customer service while meeting quality and productivity goals
- Support additional patient access and clinic administrative functions as needed
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of healthcare customer service, patient access, medical office, scheduling, or call center experience
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Experience using EPIC or HealthConnect
- Medical scheduling or patient access experience
- Experience working in a pediatric, specialty clinic, hospital, or healthcare setting
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and phone systems
