Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute internal audit reviews, including validation of regulatory findings and internal control remediation.
- Oversee compliance quality assurance (QA) reviews across operational and regulatory processes.
- Assess the effectiveness of risk management, compliance, and control frameworks.
- Perform regulatory issue validations, including BSA/AML, OFAC, and other financial crimes compliance areas.
- Develop and execute audit and QA programs, testing plans, and reporting, ensuring findings and recommendations are clearly communicated to senior leadership.
- Partner with client stakeholders to provide independent assurance and QA oversight of remediation strategies.
- Provide subject-matter expertise on the distinction and coordination between 2nd line and 3rd line of defense responsibilities to ensure alignment with regulatory expectations.
- Recommend and support implementation of process improvements and risk mitigation measures.
- Skills-Internal Audit and Compliance QA
- BSA/AML, OFAC, financial crimes and broader regulatory frameworks
- 2nd and 3rd line of defence functions
- Extensive internal audit and compliance QA experience in large financial institutions.
- Strong knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, financial crimes, and broader regulatory frameworks.
- Proven track record in validating remediation of regulatory and control issues.
- Solid understanding of 2nd and 3rd line of defense functions, with ability to operate independently and provide clear assurance.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Prior experience working with global banking clients is highly desirable
