Pay Range: $54.92/hr - $70.55/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret medication orders and accurately enter them into the pharmacy system
- Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals safely and accurately
- Monitor drug therapy for interactions, allergies, contraindications, and appropriate dosing
- Recommend cost-effective therapeutic alternatives to medical staff
- Support hospital formulary management and therapeutic interchange programs
- Provide clinical pharmacy services, including drug consultations, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV-to-PO conversion, renal dosing, and nutrition support
- Complete medication error and adverse drug reaction reports
- Provide oversight and support for pharmacy staff scheduling
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School/College of Pharmacy
- Active Pharmacist License in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy
- Hospital pharmacy experience preferred but not required
- New graduates and retail pharmacy candidates may be considered
- PGY1 Hospital Pharmacy/General Practice Residency or Fellowship highly preferred
- BCPS certification preferred
