Position Overview
The Director of Human Resources will serve as the organization’s senior HR leader and oversee all facets of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, organizational development, compliance, and workforce planning.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen with exceptional emotional intelligence and understands the distinct expectations of a luxury organization. This individual will bring a highly polished and thoughtful approach, with a proven ability to build credibility with executives and employees while ensuring the company’s people practices reflect its elevated brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic advisor and trusted business partner to the executive leadership team.
- Lead and execute all Human Resources functions across the organization.
- Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and long-term growth.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador, ensuring the employee experience reflects the brand’s standards of excellence, sophistication, discretion, and attention to detail.
- Partner with leadership to attract, develop, and retain high-caliber talent capable of representing a globally recognized luxury brand.
- Oversee full-cycle talent acquisition, workforce planning, succession planning, and onboarding.
- Ensure recruitment, onboarding, and employee development programs reinforce the brand’s heritage, values, and commitment to excellence.
- Partner with leadership to assess organizational needs and proactively identify talent opportunities, gaps, and potential risks.
- Lead sensitive employee relations and leadership matters with sound judgment, diplomacy, discretion, and professionalism.
- Drive performance management, leadership coaching, employee development, engagement, and retention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices.
- Evaluate and enhance HR policies, programs, and processes to improve efficiency and elevate the employee experience.
- Manage compensation planning, annual review processes, and organizational design initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and excellence.
- Lead and develop one direct report while serving as a trusted resource across the broader organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
- 10 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
- Significant HR leadership experience within a luxury brand is required, along with a strong understanding of the standards, pace, discretion, and cultural nuances of a high-touch organization.
- Demonstrated expertise across all areas of Human Resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, compliance, and organizational development.
- Proven ability to operate independently and manage competing priorities with minimal oversight.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, advise, and build credibility at all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized, structured, and detail-oriented, with exceptional follow-through.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect people strategies to measurable business outcomes.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Polished, diplomatic communication style and the ability to navigate sensitive matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Experience supporting senior executives and serving as a key member of a leadership team.
Compensation: $180,000 base salary
