Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC systems across various properties. This role requires a strong mechanical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently in the field. The technician will ensure that all HVAC equipment operates efficiently and safely, providing optimal climate control solutions for our clients. Candidates with experience in construction, refrigeration, plumbing, or appliance repair are encouraged to apply. A valid driver’s license is required for travel between job sites.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment
- Perform maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal operation and energy efficiency
- Conduct system inspections to identify issues related to mechanical components, electrical wiring, or refrigerant leaks
- Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to evaluate system performance
- Repair or replace mechanical parts such as compressors, fans, motors, and valves
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems including pipe fitting and refrigerant line connections
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of work performed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all service activities
- Operate welding equipment when necessary for repairs or modifications
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related fields such as property maintenance or appliance repair
- Knowledge of HVAC/R systems including refrigeration (Ammonia refrigeration experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques
- Experience working with field service operations across commercial or residential properties
- Mechanical knowledge of air conditioning systems, boilers, and ammonia refrigeration systems
- Ability to operate tools such as welding equipment and ohmmeters effectively
- Prior experience in construction or property maintenance is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required for travel between job sites
