Both vehicles are highly economical to operate, easy to deploy, and significantly reduce C02 emissions in their respective industries. What you work on at Pyka makes people’s lives better now and brings the future of electric aviation one step closer each day. Role OverviewPyka is looking for a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to support the fabrication and integration of complex electrical and mechanical subsystems for its autonomous aircraft systems. This role involves hands-on harness assembly, subsystem builds, and electronic testing, all executed to the highest standards of quality and precision.The Senior Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the successful build, validation, and production readiness of Pyka’s electromechanical subsystems. This role bridges hands-on assembly work, quality assurance, and close collaboration with engineering teams to transition hardware from prototype to scalable production.Responsibilities Perform and establish incoming quality checks on production materialWork with design engineers on first articles and help move subassembly to productionAssemble electrical/mechanical subsystems following work instructionsPerform quality checks on assemblies as they go through the production processSubassembly inventory tracking and procurementBuild wire harnesses and test setups based on understandings of Pyka’s systemsWrite and update work instructions in our MESHelp to solve bugs and quality issues during assemblyMaintain the production space and keep equipment operational and orderlyBe comfortable and safe working with batteries, high voltage, and spinning motorsRequired Qualifications4-10 years of experience with electrical/mechanical assemblies and building wiring harnesses based on schematics and work instructionsExperience with MES, PLM, and ERPExperience writing and modifying work instructionsHigh voltage safety knowledge and comfortable working on 120 VDC, 20 ~ 30 kW systems.Ability to follow instructions, both written and verbal, to carefully assemble electronic subsystems containing a variety of electrical and mechanical componentsExperience inspecting and ensuring quality of electrical subsystemsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
