Build your career with the industry-leading fire, life safety and security company.The Senior Sales Estimator and Pre-construction position is responsible for filling the crew schedule by contracting profitable work. Building and maintaining relationships with new and established accounts. The Senior Sales Estimator and Pre-construction position must also continue selling to existing accounts within the region of focus that aligns with the role and the company’s goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop Fire Sprinkler estimate designs from architectural drawings and specifications.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, preliminary system layouts, and related documentation.
Read and interpret construction documents and perform supporting tasks such as downloading plans, organizing files, and completing Excel/Word forms.
Collaborate with sales, design, project management, and installation teams to ensure accurate estimates and successful project execution.
Conduct code research, communicate with AHJs, submit RFIs, and attend required sales meetings.
Monitor online plan rooms, manage project portals, and maintain contractor/owner pre‑qualification forms.
Participate in networking events, client meetings, pre‑bid site visits, and project surveys; occasional domestic and international travel required.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing accounts while setting and tracking territory goals.
Analyze customer needs, provide performance feedback, and represent the company professionally with clients.
Apply lessons learned from completed projects to improve future estimating and sales efforts.
Perform data entry for job tracking and other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualification:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Construction management, business or engineering degree preferred. Equivalent history of experience will be considered.
Drafting/ trade school degree or certificate preferred. Equivalent history of experience will be considered.
Previous fire sprinkler experience required minimum 15 years, with 5 years dedicated to the design of fire sprinkler systems and sales.
NICET Certification in Fire Sprinkler Technology. Level III preferred

Physical Requirements:
This position may encounter light lifting of materials for delivery.
Onsite demands would require walking and standing for long periods of time, climbing and descending ladders/steps.
