Summary: Cottonseed Oil Mill Dump Operator is responsible for handling and managing the process of unloading raw cottonseed from trucks or other transportation means into the oil mill for further processing. This job involves operating machinery and equipment to ensure the efficient unloading, storage, and flow of cottonseed into the production system. Below is a typical job description for this role:

Key Responsibilities:

·  Operate Unloading Equipment:

• Safely operate dump trucks, conveyors, and other unloading equipment to unload cottonseed efficiently.
• Monitor the functioning of machinery to ensure smooth operations and address any malfunctions.

·  Monitor Quality Control:

• Inspect raw cottonseed during unloading for foreign materials, moisture, or other quality issues.
• Report any quality concerns to the quality control team or supervisors.

·  Equipment Maintenance:

• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of unloading machinery to minimize downtime.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and well-maintained at all times.

·  Safety and Compliance:

• Follow all safety protocols while operating heavy machinery and handling cottonseed.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and workplace safety standards.

·  Coordination and Reporting:

• Communicate with truck drivers, production supervisors, and other departments to ensure a continuous and smooth flow of raw material.

·  Storage Management:

• Direct the flow of cottonseed into designated storage silos or bins, ensuring proper distribution and storage practices.

·  Housekeeping and Cleanliness:

• Ensure cleanliness in the unloading and storage areas, keeping them free from debris and potential hazards.

Working Conditions:

• May involve exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor weather conditions.
• Requires lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• May require overtime or shift work during peak operational periods.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills (familiarity with data entry systems and spreadsheet software).
• Attention to detail and high accuracy in recording weights.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with various teams.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting, especially with weighing systems, is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures related to industrial facilities.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a production environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and fluctuating temperatures.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary.
