What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Planner position at PWT?
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling of corrective, preventive and proactive shutdown maintenance activities, while coordinating daily with the production and maintenance teams. Utilizes the computer maintenance management system to prioritize, track work orders and maintains equipment history files. Oversees maintenance spare parts ordering, stocking, issuing and inventory levels with purchasing and storeroom personnel. Works with the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager in all aspects of maintaining the plant equipment

- Ensure that safety is considered when putting a job plan together
- Review work requests and turn into work orders
- Maintain the bill of materials in the computerized maintenance program for the various assets in the plant
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, diagrams and schematics
- Requisition services and materials for planned work
- Estimate labor hours needed to perform work
- Communicate work planning information to maintenance management team
- Provide ideas for continuous improvement
- Develop preventive maintenance and standard job plans
- Visit work areas prior to scheduling work to ensure access, environmental and safety items are identified
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to estimate workloads
- Strong planning, organization, communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excell, Outlook and Teams
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, diagrams and schematics
- Knowledge of operations/equipment in the facility

- Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
- 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance role
- 3-5 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Previous experience in maintenance planning preferred
