Our client is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Technician to join a manufacturing operation where safety, environmental responsibility, and teamwork are top priorities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who wants to build a career in environmental health and safety while playing an important role in daily plant operations.

What You'll Be Doing

In this position, no two days will look exactly alike. You'll spend time throughout the facility helping ensure employees have a safe, clean, and compliant environment in which to work.

Safety & Facility Inspections

• Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment, buildings, and grounds to identify potential safety concerns.
• Inspect emergency safety equipment, including fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, safety showers, and breathing apparatus.
• Assist with workplace safety audits, employee training, and compliance initiatives.
• Identify potential hazards and work with plant leadership to implement improvements.

Environmental Compliance & Waste Management

• Support environmental monitoring activities, including air, water, and noise sampling.
• Coordinate the proper handling, labeling, storage, and shipment of waste materials.
• Work with waste disposal vendors and contractors to ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Maintain accurate waste records, shipment documentation, and environmental reports.
• Identify opportunities to improve waste management efficiency and reduce disposal costs.

Plant Support & Continuous Improvement

• Help maintain and update safety procedures, training materials, and operational records.
• Assist with onboarding and training employees on safety, housekeeping, and waste-handling procedures.
• Coordinate safety supplies, equipment, and purchasing requests.
• Perform minor maintenance and facility-related tasks as needed.
• Partner with employees and leadership to promote a strong culture of safety and accountability.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize potential safety concerns.
• Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and manage multiple responsibilities.
