The Opportunity:

The Materials Controller is responsible for overseeing inventory levels, managing stock and ensuring efficient flow of materials throughout the production process

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accuracy of on-hand inventory against system records.
• Support the processes to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Process applicable internal work orders while organizing and distributing a smooth flow of components for manufacturing needs.
• Create kits or pick tickets required for order processing.
• Generate and analyze inventory reports.
• Work closely with other operational teams to coordinate inventory needs and streamline operations.
• Maintain efficient material storage and handling practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in material control, inventory management and physical inventory practices and processes.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP system software.
• Process oriented with ability to effectively organize and accomplish various tasks and deliverables concurrently.
• Able to work independently with effective judgement in appraising situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage time and project priorities.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and orally.
• Have a professional work attitude and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across various levels of internal teams and industry contacts.
• Possess good math skills.
• Must maintain the ability to work beyond a 40-hour work schedule, when necessary, to include occasional weekends..
• High School Diploma.

Health & Safety:

• Ensure compliance with all WHS policies as outlined in the HR Manual and Employment Policy guide.
• Participate and contribute in all WHS Toolbox meetings.
• Participate in department WHS, Fire and Evacuation and Emergency training.
• Demonstrate a high degree of safety awareness.
