The Opportunity:
The Materials Controller is responsible for overseeing inventory levels, managing stock and ensuring efficient flow of materials throughout the production process
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accuracy of on-hand inventory against system records.
- Support the processes to resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Process applicable internal work orders while organizing and distributing a smooth flow of components for manufacturing needs.
- Create kits or pick tickets required for order processing.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports.
- Work closely with other operational teams to coordinate inventory needs and streamline operations.
- Maintain efficient material storage and handling practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in material control, inventory management and physical inventory practices and processes.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP system software.
- Process oriented with ability to effectively organize and accomplish various tasks and deliverables concurrently.
- Able to work independently with effective judgement in appraising situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time and project priorities.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and orally.
- Have a professional work attitude and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across various levels of internal teams and industry contacts.
- Possess good math skills.
- Must maintain the ability to work beyond a 40-hour work schedule, when necessary, to include occasional weekends..
- High School Diploma.
Health & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all WHS policies as outlined in the HR Manual and Employment Policy guide.
- Participate and contribute in all WHS Toolbox meetings.
- Participate in department WHS, Fire and Evacuation and Emergency training.
- Demonstrate a high degree of safety awareness.
