What are the responsibilities and job description for the Membership Director position at PWG Range?
Poway Weapons & Gear (PWG) is looking for a new team member with a proven, and verifiable, track record of managing a sales team in a Membership related position or very similar background. PWG is a 5 Star, industry leading organization. The right candidate will be responsible for managing the membership department with a heavy focus on membership activation, retention and re-engagement. The position will be one that trains our various staff members and membership team to nurture relationships with existing members so that they will invite their friends and colleagues to join PWG as well. In addition, they attend community events to help recruit new members.
Poway Weapons & Gear's Indoor Range is one of the country's premier indoor shooting ranges and the largest indoor range on the West Coast. At 42,000 square feet, 42 lanes and three separate ranges from 25, 50 and 100 Yards. Poway Weapons & Gear Range is the third largest indoor gun range in the nation. We currently serve over 6,000 members.
A positive attitude and team first mentality will be vital for the success of any candidate with PWG. Applicant must be congenial and sociable while providing the upmost professional behavior to manage our high caliber clientele.
Compensation: This job has both Salary and Bonus (Monthly). Salary (range of $50K to $70K) based on experience. Bonus is a percentage override of membership sales based on the department meeting company goals. Annual bonus is typically 30%-50% of Salary.
Job Requirements
- Five years internal/external sales experience required. (Must be verifiable)
- Expereince in Gym, Golf or other Membership Sales is highly desirable.
- Two years of management experience. (Must be verifiable)
- Proven track-record of sales performance
- Must be willing to work weekends and weekdays (retail hours: 10am-8pm daily).
- High-energy, outgoing personality.
- Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills are a must.
- Strong technical literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Diplomatic team player able to foster relationships with Members, employee partners and other community leaders.
- Creativity, attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Applicant must exhibit a professional appearance.
- Applicant must possess a passion for providing high quality Member service and commitment to exceeding expectations.
- Resolve complaints made by the members or customers.
- No criminal record that disqualifies you from being around firearms.
Experience/Education
- High school diploma required or GED
- 5 Years Sales Experience, 2 years of management experience
- Firearms knowledge a plus, not requirement
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to frequently lift 30 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods.
- Repetitive motion required including computer entry.
