Customer Service – Lead Position
This position responsible for the day-to-day operations related to either the retail or the range at PWG. The operational tempo of PWG is crucial due to the very busy environment of our retail location and ranges. Over seeing the retail or range staff is an always changing and challenging role at PWG.
The ideal candidate will have 1 years of retail or customer service or business operations experience as well as at least 1 year of management experience. Firearms experience is not required, but certainly welcome. Women are always encouraged to apply for any position within PWG.
Compensation:
The Range Operations Manager is a salary position with a starting salary between $45,000 and $52,000 based on qualification. This position also pays a quarterly bonus based on success within the position. Annually, bonuses can amount to over 50% of the position’s base salary. Tips are also available as part of this position. Additional benefits include 401(k) matching, personal time off, health and dental benefits as well as various other employee benefits.

About Us
Poway Weapons & Gear’s Indoor Range is one of the country’s premier indoor shooting ranges and the largest indoor range on the west coast. PWG consists of 42,000 square feet, 42 lanes and three separate ranges – 25, 50 and 100 Yards. PWG trains more than 5,000 students a year, has a membership of over 7,500 members as well as hosting dozens of law enforcement and military agencies utilizing our facility for their training needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the retail or range staff in day-to-day performance of their duties.
- Assist in scheduling staff.
- Review paperwork for compliance errors.
- Train new employees and motivate existing line employees through leading by example.
- Train and encourage line staff to drive revenue through sales to members and the public.
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Must have 3 years of customer service or retail experience
- Must have 1 years of management or related experience
- Ability to work seamlessly across multiple departments
- Significant computer experience related to administrative tasks necessary
- Ability to change tasks quickly and be flexible
- Windows and Office Suite knowledge and experience are important
- Ability to work weekends
