What are the responsibilities and job description for the FP&A, Cost and Profitability Analyst, Senior Associate position at PwC?

As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates a thorough level of abilities with, and/or a proven record of success as both an individual contributor and team member, identifying and addressing client needs:

  • Demonstrates a thorough level of knowledge in cost accounting methods including activity-based costing, unit costing, standard costing methods with variances, and residual analysis;
  • Demonstrates a thorough level of experience in cost study design and oversight, including the use and maintenance of standard cost frameworks for the integration of cost studies with existing model methodologies;
  • Demonstrates a thorough level of experience in a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) setting in Banking and Capital Markets, Asset Management, and/or Insurance;
  • Proven record of success in running and updating cost modeling systems (data, hierarchy, rules, etc.); supporting Standard and Forecast unit costs, variance reporting, cost maintenance, operational metrics, and scorecards;
  • Demonstrated abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:
  • Understanding of the functionality of financial systems, such as Oracle (EPM Suite - PCMCS/EBPCS), SAP (PaPM), Workday (Adaptive Insights / Prism), Anaplan, OneStream, Tagetik, SAS ABM, MyABCM;
  • Understanding common issues facing clients in their industry from a performance measurement perspective;
  • Leveraging business intelligence tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Excel, Qlik) to support the reporting and monitoring of performance metrics;
  • Leveraging digital tools to manage data such as Alteryx, UI Path, and Blue Prism among others; and,
  • Managing efforts with identifying and addressing client needs by building, maintaining, and utilizing networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicating value propositions; managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections; and, preparing and/or coordinating complex written and verbal materials.
