Job Overview

The Receptionist, based at our Houston, TX sales office, will answer the phone and greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization.  This position also supports our Sales team and is responsible for checking the accuracy of each order. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Some of your duties may include:

• Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location
• Checks accuracy of each order
• Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff: takes messages and schedules appointments
• Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes the items
• Performs administrative and clerical support tasks
• Performs basic filing and record-keeping
• Performs other duties
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job due to its in-person work requirement

You will also need to be able to:

• Have excellent verbal communication skills
• Possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Have a basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
• Attention to detail
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Requirements:

• Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines
• Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
• 1-3 years of administrative experience preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs at times
• Prior Wire & Cable experience is a plus
