Position Overview
We are seeking an Associate Financial Planner with 1–3 years of experience in wealth management or financial advising. This individual will play a key role in supporting client relationships, participating in financial planning, and contributing to the continued growth of the firm.
This role is designed as a career-building opportunity, with a clear path toward eventually leading client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support advisors in preparing for and participating in client meetings
- Assist in developing and updating comprehensive financial plans
- Analyze client data across investments, tax, retirement, and estate planning
- Help implement planning recommendations and follow through on action items
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records within CRM systems
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a high-quality client experience
- Participate in internal strategy discussions and planning initiatives
- Engage in ongoing professional development and industry education
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related field
- Experience sitting in on client meetings and exposure to the financial planning process
- CFP® designation preferred or actively pursuing certification
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Self-motivated, hardworking, and team-oriented mindset
- Desire to grow into a client-facing advisory role
Technology & Tools
Experience with the following platforms is a plus:
- Wealthbox (CRM)
- RightCapital and/or eMoney (financial planning)
- Tamarac (portfolio management)
- Schwab and TradePMR (custodians)
- Wealth.com (estate planning/ tax planning)
- Nitrogen (portfolio risk tolerance)
