General Tasks and Expectations
Employees are responsible for adhering to all applicable guidelines and work instructions. This includes compliance with quality, environmental, and energy efforts, as well as all relevant occupational health and safety standards. Any observed deficiencies in these areas must be promptly reported to the direct leader. Employees are also expected to support and contribute to the ongoing improvement and development of their respected areas.
Additional Tasks
Employees may be assigned temporary and reasonable tasks that align with the nature of their position or are required to support operational needs.
Material Handler / Forklift Driver Position Information
- Operates "yard dog" to swap out trailers and travel to nearby additional warehouse location
- Moves raw materials, packaging or finished goods to appropriate location for production, warehousing, or shipping
- Responsible for efficiently and safely loading/unloading trailers of material
- Correctly receives product and materials from vendors by utilizing the established receiving procedures, including entry into computer system
- Identifies damaged material within warehouse and/or on trailers to determine proper handling and disposition
- Housekeeping in the warehouse (sweeping, cleaning, and straightening)
Qualifications:
- CDL licensing / experience required
- Commitment to follow safe practices, especially in regard to forklift operation
- Good organizational ability
- Attention to detail
